UFC light heavyweight Johnny Walker has shared a video on Twitter that shows off a staggering weight gain just one week after his UFC 283 bout.

Walker took on submission expert Paul Craig in front of his home crowd and certainly delivered, adding yet another first-round finish to his resume.

The Scottish fighter had caught a kick from Walker before the Brazilian dropped Craig with firm right hands whilst on one leg. The 30-year-old followed up with a flurry of punches before the referee waved the bout off.

Walker now holds six wins in the UFC, all of which have been first-round finishes.

Following his victory, Johnny Walker took to Twitter to show the magnitude of his weight cut and an equally impressive weight gain. The Brazilian stepped onto the scale in the video, which showed him weighing 248 pounds, 43 pounds heavier than when he stepped onto the scales for his bout with Paul Craig.

He wrote:

“112,900 KG : 248 pounds just one week after my weight in at 93 kg , 205 pounds , I recovered 20 kg now , 43 pounds in a week , tell me your thoughts? #ufc #weightloss #weightgain #mma #champ #nutrition”

Walker’s victory over Craig shook up the light heavyweight rankings. The Brazilian climbed four places to No.8, with Paul Craig dropping two spots to No.11.


Johnny Walker draws inspritation from Daniel Cormier

Following his victory at UFC 283, Johnny Walker was asked by the media about his plans for the future. According to the Brazilian, a bout with Jon Jones at heavyweight is on the cards, as well as a desire to achieve double-champ status.

During the post-fight presser, Walker praised Daniel Cormier for his achievement in winning both the light heavyweight and heavyweight titles. He stated that he’s planning on doing the same.

The 30-year-old said:

“He’s [Daniel Cormier] champ-champ – two belts. Come on. That’s my dream, as well, and this guy did it. I want to be on his level one day. I want to be a good wrestler, improve all of my skills, because I want to be there. I want to be ready to do what he did. I know it’s a huge thing to do… He’s a big, big motivation, and I want to do what he did.”
