Watch: 18-year-old Connor Bedard scores first NHL goal of his career

Eighteen-year-old Chicago Blackhawks center Connor Bedard has been the most hyped up hockey prospect since Sidney Crosby was selected with the first overall pick in 2005.

In fact, Bedard was already being labeled “The next Sidney Crosby.”

The NHL’s youngest player gave a glimpse of his potential when he recorded his first NHL point, an assist against Crosby and the Penguins on Tuesday in his debut.

On Wednesday night, against the Boston Bruins, he again showed why he was the most touted prospect in nearly 20 years, this time scoring his first goal of the season.

With just under 14:30 in the first period, Bedard scored a wraparound goal to put his team on the board and take a 1-0 lead.
