The Cleveland Browns backfield took a devastating blow in Monday night’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, losing Nick Chubb to a significant knee injury. Head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed Tuesday that the four-time Pro Bowl running back will miss the remainder of the season with what appears to be multiple torn ligaments, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
With Chubb sidelined for the foreseeable future, the win-now Browns will need to figure out a way to stay afloat in the AFC North without one of the league’s best running backs at their disposal.
To help fill the void, former Super Bowl-winning NFL exec Michael Lombardi believes Cleveland might be willing to fork over a hefty trade haul to acquire disgruntled running back Jonathan Taylor from the Indianapolis Colts.
