Danial Williams has captured the fight fans’ curiosity through his no-holds-barred approach in his matches. The Australian striker, though, will try to change his style when he takes Portugal’s Rui Botelho at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.

Danial Williams is no stranger to tweaking his style to come up with a perfect game plan, but he expects Botelho to give it his all in their strawweight Muay Thai match on March 24, US primetime, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Danial Williams said:

“So that’s what I’m going to be careful of. He’s going to be super hungry for the win. His career depends on it. He’s got power as well. Anything can happen in those small gloves. That’s why I’m going to be very focused with this and not leave my chin out too much. Try not to do too much damage, but still come forward and bring it forward. I like doing this, but I’m just working on the skills with that as well.”

‘Mini T’ is one of the most exciting strikers in ONE Championship right now and he’s showcased his explosive brand of fighting in both Muay Thai and mixed martial arts.

Danial Williams made his ONE Championship debut under Muay Thai when he went the distance with ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon back in April 2021 at ONE on TNT I. He then went on an MMA run scoring three straight wins against Thai legend Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, Namiki Kawahara, and Zelang Zhaxi.

Botelho, meanwhile, has 19 professional wins and wants nothing more than to establish himself as a force inside the circle. The Lisbon native first fought in flyweight wherein he faced the absolute toughest in Panpayak Jitmuangnon and reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9.

ONE Fight Night 8 will be available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
